Throughout KS3 students are given the opportunity to study the key faiths as well as philosophy and ethics. The core beliefs and practises are explored and a range of important questions related to their own spiritual development, as well as questions concerning the meaning and purpose of life.

KS4 RE is an option at GCSE and involves studying philosophy and ethics.

Year 7

Topics taught include: Religion in the Locality, Christianity and Islam.  

 

Year 8

Buddhism, Hinduism and Creation and The Environment.

 

Year 9

Figures of Faith, Atheism and Theism and Ethics.

Year 10 and 11

Christianity: Beliefs and Practises.

Islam: Beliefs and Practises.

Ethics:   Relationships & Families.

              The Existence of God.

              Dialogue Between Religions.

              Peace and Conflict.
