Students have enjoyed a fantastic few days entertaining our exchange partners from Perpignan. The French contingent dropped in at East Midlands Airport on Monday afternoon, ahead of five days of activities at Brooksbank and beyond.
In-school language-based activities included a treasure hunt, spaghetti challenge, bake off and escape room, all designed to improve communication skills.
Outside activities included some of the region’s top attractions: York and York Dungeons, FlamingoLand, Old Trafford, Trafford Centre and the National Coal Mining Museum. Dining included school lunches (the best in the area!), Beefeater, Halifax (before bowling at Electric Bowl).
Twenty-one students from Year 9 GCSE classes and our French visitors had a brilliant time and it was fantastic to welcome back our colleagues from Cours Maintenon.
