Business Studies students created a Christmas Fair to remember on Thursday, 30th November.  The heart-warming fair brought together students, staff and members of the community together as visitors stepped into Christmas in our Main Hall and arthaus.  The evening provided a fun-filled shopping experience and a chance for our youngest visitors to meet Santa (aka Ed Whitwam), his red and green wingman (Ryan Scully), and a team of merry elves, in a specially created grotto.

Students from Year 11 and our Sixth Form had clearly put a lot of imagination and effort into their festive stalls.  There was crazy golf to test your skills, plus designer chocolate bars and Santa hats to buy for Christmas.  “I really enjoyed the Christmas Fair; it was a great experience and helped me to gain new skills, like working as a team, and it gave a boost to my self-confidence,” said a Year 11 student.

It was fantastic to welcome members from our wider community into school.  On sale was a wonderful range of merchandise from greetings cards and candles, to knitwear and jewellery.  Adding to the Christmas vibe were Brooksbank’s Concert Band and Choir who filled the fair with Christmas music and carols.

“My kids loved the Fair, thank you for the great playing, singing, games and hot chocolate,” said one happy parent.  We would like to thank everyone who helped to make our Christmas Fair such a fantastic event.
