Choirs sing out at the Piece Hall

Music departments from Brooksbank and Ryburn Valley have teamed up with Selwyn College Choir for an epic choral workshop at Calderdale Music, culminating in a roof-raising bandstand performance at the Piece Hall, Halifax.

Each choir took turns to showcase their unique styles and skills. With its exceptional vocal range and harmony, Selwyn College Choir wowed the students with their first-class performance. Not to be outdone, Brooksbank and Ryburn produced their own impressive renditions of modern favourites, Survivor's Eye of the Tiger and Christina Piri's Twilight masterpiece A Thousand Years

The musical high note was undoubtedly the three-choir public performance at the bandstand in Halifax Piece Hall. Together, the seventy voices raised the roof and delighted the audience. The event was a great success, with students from all three schools having a blast while learning from each other.

"It was great fun singing together in different places," said Brooksbank student Alice.
