Students rewarded at magical Prize Giving

Prize Giving was a wonderful evening of smiles, handshakes and - best of all - prizes! Eighty-two students were recognised for excellent attainment, attitude to learning and contribution to school life.

In a new twist to the format, we invited student ambassadors to speak about their year's highlights. What an inspired decision that turned out to be! Emrys Osborn, Leah Underwood, Lill Seal and Zach O'Reilly engaged the audience with confidence and skill. students stepped up to the stage to receive their prizes from Mr Hewitt.

There were musical delights too. Brooksbank's Senior Voices performed a moving rendition of Anthem from Chess, and Thomas Haigh delighted us with Chopin's Waltz in B Minor. Finally, it was Mr Hewitt's turn to praise our exceptional students and congratulate everyone on their remarkable work.

Special events must end at some point, and to close the show, Verity Sykes delivered a charming vote of thanks and presented gifts to Mr Hewitt and Mrs Bain, Brooksbank's Chair of Governors. It had been a fantastic evening, a joy to recognise our highest achievers and a pleasure to listen to our student ambassadors.
