The school is thrilled to announce that two of its sixth form students have gained places at the UK’s most prestigious acting schools.  Emma Kershaw, has been awarded a place at The Arden School of Theatre and Taylor Wilson-Radcliffe has won a place at Bristol School of Acting.

Both girls, who are passionate about performing, raised the bar when they reinterpreted Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods recently for their A Level Theatre and Drama examination.

Emma is thrilled at the prospect of attending The Arden, a Manchester-based theatre school which is closely associated with the city’s Royal Exchange Theatre.  Arden alumni include: Shaun Dooley (Innocent, Gentleman Jack, The Witcher), Amanda Henderson (Casualty) and Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls).

Taylor is elated to be heading to Bristol! Bristol School of Acting is run by arts company Boomsatsuma in partnership with Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios which has played host to TV series including: Poldark, Broadchurch and Wolf Hall.

Huge congratulations girls, we’re so proud of your performance achievements at Brooksbank and wish you all the best in your journey into professional acting.
