Barely four weeks into their first autumn term at Brooksbank, Year 7 youngsters headed out for an action and adventure day at Bradley Wood, Brighouse.  The school-day-turned-adventure-day took place on Thursday, 26th September and students experienced a thrills-and-spills day to remember.

With trees towering overhead and grassy terrain underfoot, 300 students took their Rewards Day to unexpected heights at Yorkshire’s activity-packed scout camp.

Students reached for the tree tops climbing high ropes and tumbled down to earth in the crate stacking challenge.  There was an awesome vertical climbing wall – gasp! – and some extra orienteering challenges.  In the archery arena, students embraced their bows, notched their arrows and aimed for bulls-eye.  They also boarded a double-decker cave bus for a bit of – well … caving – squeezing through tiny gaps, just like in a real cave.

Activities required bravery, trust and an ‘I-can-do-this’ attitude, and under sunshine and showers, grit and grime, students gave this Rewards Day at Bradley Woods a huge thumbs up!
